Courtyard Before and After

When we bought our house the courtyard had a waterfalls that did not work.  We could not see ourselves enjoying it very much even if we had it repaired.  So, we had a team convert it into an outdoor fireplace.  We love it!

I have found some great estate sale buys.  If you aren't shopping estate sales you are missing out!  I got these two lamps for $15 each.  They are the same lamp but with different shades.

Before and After Dining room

The dining room was red, not bad but it would not go with my other colors I had planned for the house.

Sorry about the color.  I'll work on this. We painted the dining room Sage and the woodwork high gloss white.

We found our house on the internet!  My husband and I looked everywhere from West Virginia to South Carolina for 2 years.  We have lived in the low country of SC for the past 20 years, before that we were born and lived in WV.  Our goal was to get back to the mountains.  Everyone asks:   Do you have family in NC where you bought your house?  Do you have friends there?  NO!  We found the house on the internet, went to see it, and fell in love.
